Now that you have the excess and loose clippings removed from the area you want to make a fresh batch of cleaning solution. The first thing you can do is to take about two cups of warm water and mix a mild dish soap. Then dip a clean cloth in the solution and dab at the area that has been stained. This will work to clear the discoloration from the carpets. You want to make sure you repeat the process as many times as needed to remove the stain. You also want to avoid using a rubbing action as this will start to wear out and fray the carpet fibers.

Now that the excess is gone and you have worked to clean the discoloration from the stain you want to clean the spot. If you use a soapy cleaning solution and you don’t clean it off you can create a sticky residue. The residue will attract dirt that can start to create a new stain. You want to get a new cloth that you can dip in clean cold water. Dab at the area that you cleaned and repeat over the entire area. This will remove the residue and dry clean and soft.
