Make sure it is a good thick layer where the baking soda covers the grout and nothing can be seen through it. Next put some vinegar in a spray bottle. White vinegar or apple cider vinegar works fine. Spray the vinegar on the baking soda. There should be rather an awesome chemical reaction where the baking soda should start to bubble and fizz. Allow the reaction to occur for at least 10 minutes.
Step 2. With a grout cleaning brush, begin to scrub at the grout lines. It will start to look like a muddy mess. This just means the baking soda and vinegar are working. Use a cup of clean water to rinse your grout. Brush out as you clean your grout. Warning, Don’t add too much water to the grout line as you clean. Tap the water out of the brush before you continue scrubbing. Too much water will just add more of a mess on your tile and grout than you would want to clean.
Step 3. Using a damp cloth, wipe the area clean. For your floors, you may way to use a wet-vac to suck up the clumpy baking soda and then use a mop with just water to clean the floors. By cleaning up the baking soda drenched in vinegar you will be cleaning up your tile at the same time.
