Cleaning Tile & Soiled, Stained Grout Lines with Vinegar & Baking Soda in North Las Vegas, NV

Tile counter tops and floors are very common in today’s homes. They are easy and cheap to install and they look great. Well, they look great at first, but over time oils, dirt, soap and grease gets caught in the tile’s grout lines which makes them look dirty and unattractive. There is a simple and natural way to clean your tile and the grout lines more simply. Tough Carpet Cleaning will share three simple steps to clean your tile and mostly, your grout lines.

Cleaning Grout With Baking Soda & Vinegar

You will be focusing on cleaning your grout lines in these steps, but by way of cleaning your grout lines you will at the same time be cleaning your tile. In most cases the tile stays clean anyway while it is the grout that holds onto the dirt and grime. This cleaning method uses simple household cleaners and items. No commercial cleaners are needed here.
Step 1. Start by use regular baking soda and sprinkle the baking soda on the grout lines. You can use your fingers to make sure the grout is completely covered with baking soda. Make sure it is a good thick layer where the baking soda covers the grout and nothing can be seen through it. Next put some vinegar in a spray bottle. White vinegar or apple cider vinegar works fine. Spray the vinegar on the baking soda. There should be rather an awesome chemical reaction where the baking soda should start to bubble and fizz. Allow the reaction to occur for at least 10 minutes.
Step 2. With a grout cleaning brush, begin to scrub at the grout lines. It will start to look like a muddy mess. This just means the baking soda and vinegar are working. Use a cup of clean water to rinse your grout. Brush out as you clean your grout. Warning, Don’t add too much water to the grout line as you clean. Tap the water out of the brush before you continue scrubbing. Too much water will just add more of a mess on your tile and grout than you would want to clean.
Step 3. Using a damp cloth, wipe the area clean. For your floors, you may way to use a wet-vac to suck up the clumpy baking soda and then use a mop with just water to clean the floors. By cleaning up the baking soda drenched in vinegar you will be cleaning up your tile at the same time.
For those who prefer more natural cleaners such as baking soda and vinegar this is a great and simple way to have clean tile counter tops and floors. There are many ways to approach tile and grout cleaning. There are other cleaners that also work great to clean your tile. Additionally, you can also use a professional tile and grout cleaning company to revitalize your floor or countertops.
