1) Blot. In order to soak up as much ink as possible, the first step to remove ink stains is blotting the stained area using a white cloth or rag. 2) Sop it up. Use rubbing alcohol to do some soaking. Pour a little bit of the alcohol over the permanent ink stains and allow it to break down the ink for about 15 minutes or so. You can also use lacquer-based hairspray if you do not have rubbing alcohol.
3) Gently pat. Vigorously scrubbing needs to be avoided, however, with gentle scrubbing and patting techniques, you can remove the stain. From your carpet’s loops and piles, carefully use a scrub brush or even a toothbrush to gently scrub the ink stain. The more you’ll probably need to scrub stems from the thicker the carpet is.
