How to Get Marker Out of Fabric Couch
Frequently we get calls from our loyal customers asking what to do if their child has drawn on their upholstered couch with marker. We can hear the emotions in their voice as they try to rectify a terrible situation. If your child has colored with marker on your couch you will want to get liquid dishwashing detergent, white vinegar, warm water, rubbing alcohol, and a white cloth. Mix one tablespoon of liquid dishwashing detergent and one tablespoon of white vinegar with two cups of warm water. Take your clean white cloth and sponge the stain with the solution. Be careful that you do not rub the stain as this will make it just sink further into your couch. Blot the spot frequently with a dry cloth until the stain is gone. If the stain does not disappear all the way get out your rubbing alcohol. Use a new clean white cloth to sponge the rubbing alcohol on to the spot. Blot it to remove the stain. Let the spot air dry. Then when it is gone sponge the spot with cold water. You will want to blot the spot until the liquid is absorbed. Repeat this as necessary until the spot disappears.
How to Get Crayon Out of Microfiber Couches
Sometimes your kids just do not want to seem to keep their coloring on the paper. If you find crayon on your upholstered couch try this method to get rid of it. First get a metal spoon or dull knife. Use the spoon or knife to scrape off as much of the crayon material as you can from the couch. Get the spot wet with some warm water. Next get your liquid dishwashing detergent out. Apply some soap to the stain. Work the liquid dish detergent in with a brush. Then take a damp sponge and wipe the stain away. Repeat this as necessary until the spot disappears.
How to Get Juice Spills Out of Sofa
Kids love to drink juice! Even the best of sippy cups will leak some of the juice out eventually. If you have juice on your couch grab paper towels, liquid dishwashing soap, 2 clean cloths, and a dry towel. Use your paper towels first to soak up as much of the juice as you can. Then get two cups of cold water and add one tablespoon of liquid dishwashing detergent. Take one of your cloths and dip it in the solution. Blot the liquid onto the stained area with the cloth. Once the stain is removed get your clean cloth out and get it damp with warm water. Use this to get the soapy liquid off of your couch.
