Focusing on soaking up the stain, as opposed to rubbing it away, place a small amount of pressure on the area. Always blot from the outside to help prevent the stain from spreading.
Freeze Gum to Remove from Carpet
In the event you have chewing gum that’s been pressed into the carpet fibers, the best method of removing it is to essentially freeze-dry it. Take a few ice cubes and let it sit on top of the gum for a few minutes and use a spoon to lift up the piece of gum and cut the strands as close as possible. You can keep refreezing as needed should there be any gum left behind for you to continue working on.
